Outscore Your Rival at Madden 10, and Score His Dollars

PS3 Madden 10's pulse-pounding, hard-rocking soundtrack is another element that gives the game an added kick. The past few years have seen the soundtracks becoming an integral facet of the games, and Madden is leading the pack. PS3 Madden 10's soundtrack brings the right level of intensity, as well as a great mix of newer and older songs ("older" being a relative term here, of course). One gander at the song lineup should induce and impress: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. Looks like you need a visit back in time, to the embryonic days of sports video games, if you have your doubts about PS3 Madden 10. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. But when you look at the old versus the new, you can truly appreciate the epic nature of PS3 Madden 10. At the dawn of video game consoles, one of the top requests from every hardcore gamer was a football video game for their system, naturally. Trouble was, the video game consoles' abilities weren't as fully realized as gamers' football fantasies, so hardcore gamers had to make do with what was there. "All the excitement" of the real thing, the game publishers crowed back then. Competition was nonexistent, so this one was a huge hit for the biggest video game console in the day.

Those players don't even look human. That's just a harsh fact. You think that photo looks limited, you should see the gameplay itself. Technology was so inadequate back then, that every moving player flickered to the point where you could barely see the action. The "crowd" cheering sounded closer to a car running over gravel. Things were so limited that a scrolling screen was out of the question. Within a couple years, things would pick up slightly, with a competing console developing a football video game. This next one was a valiant attempt to make a more realistic football video game. Better, but not great. The video game world was certainly jazzed when that was released, but it wasn't exactly the gold standard. It would take a few more years for that to happen. This next one, coming out for the next generation of game consoles at the end of the 80s, was a sensation, and still beloved today. For a long time, it was the gold standard by which football video games were held. It's certainly easy to see why that one was a hit - the gameplay was far more sophisticated, incorporating actual offensive and defensive strategies. Graphics and sound were vastly improved, so for many years, this was the video football game. And given that they're making a new online version, there's still a following for it. But even that one can't compete with PS3 Madden 10. Once you've viewed all the other games, have a gander at PS3 Madden 10.

Yes, technology has been good to the video game world in general, and the football video game has benefitted from it all. But there's no purpose in ragging on the early games. We've made our point. Those games, while archaic, got us to where we are today, and for that, they deserve their place in the video game hall of fame (though that first one may be better off in "video game hall of shame.") Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. And of course, the critics are equally enthusiastic about PS3 Madden 10, which is even more good news for fans of the franchise. Reviews for PS3 Madden 10 are filled with praise such as "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise. There's no debating it - PS3 Madden 10 is an all-time great sports video game. Sure, we love all PlayStation sports video games, but PS3 Madden 10 stands at the top, as one of the best. For many, this is the PlayStation football game by which all others are measured. And it's where they separate the men from the boys, by letting you duke it out for some serious cash. PlayStation Madden 10 maniacs have the opportunity to challenge each other for some serious cash. Once you do your homework and study the playbook, you'll be in the end zone scoring points and making your rivals weep as you empty out their bank accounts.
